There must be many things you would want to do in your gap year. You may be thinking of enrolling yourself in a program or even travel. Why not make a profit out of your hobby? If you are into surfing or scuba diving, why not enroll yourself in a program where you can be a qualified instructor for those sports. You can teach those who would want to learn that sports. You can get a profit out of your hobby and makes your gap year more productive than what you have planned for. You get to enjoy your hobby and at the same time you are making a profit out of it and your experience will look good in your CV. You can take lessons, for example if you are into surfing and scuba diving, to become a qualified instructor for these sports.

For surfing, there programs covers about surfing, basics to advanced skills and learning to balance and all. It will also teach you to learn your balance and to ride the bigger waves and so on. For beginners, you will be given a five-day beginner’s course and another five-day surf lessons to polish what you have learned. But if you already have a surfing experience, they will take you to the exclusive spots and the instructors will push you to your limits.

For scuba diving, you will take more lessons; you have to get to be a certified instructor. You have to take the open water dive course, advanced open water course, the emergency first response, and rescue diver course, the dive master course which you can be qualified already to work with diving schools and lastly become a qualified diving instructor. Aside from these sports that you can get licensed from to be a qualified instructor there are also other sports. Your hobby is not just a hobby this time, it also gives profit.
