As the fourth largest continent that covers the earth, South America has something unique to travel with that makes it one of the best choices of travelers all over the world. Known as a backpacker’s paradise, South America attracts over millions of young travelers who love to travel and dedicate their life traveling and exploring the mountainous side of the continent. They were young travelers who want to feel what the feeling of swimming on their pristine beaches and experience the challenges that they have. They are the ones who want to lend a hand to the less fortunate people; they are the ones who were flexible enough wanting to adapt the culture that they have.

South America is covered with 13 countries, these are; Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. All of these countries boast different unique ways to attract its yearly visitors. As one of the volunteers for the gap year program, choose well the country that you think you were comfortable to dwell with. After choosing a country prepares and lists all the possible itineraries that you want. If you have a list of itineraries, it would never be hard for you where would be your next destination. There are countless beautiful spots in South America but in your list of itineraries, never forget to include these places.
- Trekking in the mountains of Patagonia which can be found in Chile and Argentina.
- Visiting the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes which is in Santiago, Chile.
- The Machu Picchu which is in Cusco, Peru
- Visit Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro Brazil for sunbathing
