Are you taking your gap year as an opportunity? Some choices which face are an opportunity to volunteer in improving the lives of those who are less fortunate or taking some time off to motivate to higher education? Some would take gap year to gain a valuable work experience to boasts and improve for your future employment. Some also just want to get out from their daily routine and explore, leave things behind and interact to different a culture that is far different from your own. Taking a gap year is a break out of your daily habits and your familiar and comfortable habits. This is a great way in pushing yourself into challenges by testing your limits. Maybe after taking your gap year you will come back home that is more self-assured and interesting individual.

Things that You can do during Your Gap Year

  1. Take an opportunity to study abroad or pursue your interest and passion that you never had time during your school days. This would be a great break for you to be able to enrich and explore your passion and interest.

  2. Travel abroad and interact to different culture. This is a great way to open your mind to some realities and depth your understanding to other culture. You can also meet new friends that will be treasured with you for the rest of your life.

  3. Join for a retreat places where you can meditate with a group. This is a great opportunity and best ideas of your gap year by taking part some retreat activities for you to relax and think. Several of us needs time to think, stop and keep of their life. A retreat place is somewhat a place away from the chaotic of everyday life which need a quiet time to reflect and think.

  4. Join a volunteer works such as medical mission, community involvement, orphanage visits and others. This is the best way to motivate your self to work and study hard.
