According to studies the generation gap between parents and children is a factor why some parents does not understand their children and vice versa. Especially if the parents married late and had babies late in their lives.
So, efforts are made by the parents to understand the world where their children live from on line games to soccer, football and gap year travel.
But the newest trend in gaining backs their daughter and son is taking a gap year travel with them. It is but natural for children to be so anxious on leaving their parents behind on a gap year but not Matt Gaskell. According to the news, the young boy will be taking along his father to conquer the penguins, ice and cold weather of Antarctica.
Where ever you decide to take your Gap year travel either in the land of the rising sun in Arctic countries such as Sweden, Norway or Finland; the vibrating lifestyle in a Spanish city; or as far as Thailand and Japan- it bonds the relationship of whoever you take with you.
Parents should encourage the idea of a gap year with them… to be able to get to know their kids while lying in the beaches of Florida or drinking tea and champagne in an Italian city; or perhaps while discussing Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona.
Interesting places to consider a gap with your kids are places like:
Estonia in the northeastern side of Europe is Europe best secret no more; for people has now discovered the lush allure of the country. You can’t resist Tallin’s undeniable charm, the lush forest and magnificent coastal trails of Laheemaa National Park, or the sky dream location in Otepaa.
If then your adolescent kid is on a cross road- then bring him with on a gap year in the “country on the cross road!”- Latvia. And learn how to great each and everyone with the country’s language. I see no reason for it to fail to connect the bonds between you too.
