Best Option after Graduation
March 21st, 2010 Posted in Gap year Programs Opportunities
On the first day of school in your senior year (either in high school or college) you won’t be talking about what you will be doing as the school year ends. At the middle of the school year you will be busy complying for requirements so you won’t have time to talk about your whereabouts at the end of the senior year. Now, as you passed everything and passed all grades and you look each others in the eyes and burst out laughing and ask: what will you do after graduation?
I had encountered such questions so many times that it became a bug in my daily life especially when you are blank of your possibilities. Have you considered gap year opportunities?
Teaching Gap year Programs. Teaching Gap Year Programs are the most popular of all of the gap year programs. There are programs with no certificates needed thus you can just apply for the gap year activity. But let me note that you have to apply in advance to be given the slot.
Public Service Programs. An example of this is the AmeriCorps. The volunteer will be given a limited allowance as they do volunteer work abroad. It is supported by the United States of America government. Sometimes the program entails helping other students to go through the process of college life. Some also helps the community to build homes.
Gap Year Extended Internships. This kind of internship is the most ambitious gap year ideas. You are already on your step 1 of building your chosen career. You do not waste time in an activity that is not career related. But I do hope you are doing something that you love most for success is just in the corner if you love what you are doing. Only focused individual sees the difference with a gap year internship abroad.
