Gap Year in Egypt

Egypt is the last place for my gap year destination. But my friends and cousins drag me hesitantly to this place. I was convincing them to visit Spain, Germany or Switzerland. But they were so insistent in visiting this place. I could not afford to be left behind by the group. So I went with them to visit Egypt for our year’s gap year destination travel.
I know Egypt need a little history check for the scope of Egypt is huge. From the pyramids to Nile and the minarets are already astonishing in their existence. They are just doorways to greater wealth of knowledge.
Why was I hesitant? In no particular reason at all; I was hoping to save the best for last as they say. For a gap year abroad I wanted to save financially to be able to scourge Egypt wholly and without any space left unvisited and undiscovered. Perhaps this is far too ambitious or perhaps God is really good and decided that he would give an early birthday gift for this year.
So off we went.
Most people already had a fill of seas but the Mediterranean Sea has its own magnetism. Alexandria’s pull is the Mediterranean Sea; I could not blame he people when they look for a cooler location to shake off a little temperature in their environment.
We also had our fill with Cairo. Cairo with the fastidious collection of restaurants, entertainment, hotels, food, local delicacies and the monument! This city has given as the glimpse of their culinary expertise. Though, the recount of the delicious and not delicious food really deserves another story. So let us stick with what made Egypt tick besides having the pyramids.
Luxor is one of the most visited and why not? When it is literally breathing with monuments and is considered as a theme park but these theme parks are no where near the elegant showcases of Egypt.
These two locations are just a taste of wonders in Egypt; it is the best for a gap year travel destination.
